Private transfer to Hotel Cumbres located in Puerto Varas a fast-growing resort town on the edge of Lago Llanquihue, Puerto Varas is renowned for its view of both the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Stunning rose arbors and Germanic-style architecture grace the many centuries-old houses and churches that dot this tranquil town. Well-situated, it’s not far to Chiloé, Puerto Montt, Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park, Cochamó, and other regional hot spots. Departing Puerto Varas today we will drive along bordering the Llanquihue Lake which host one of the best scenic roads in the region. Our morning navigation will be on the lower part of the Petrohue river: a calm paddle. Reaching the small village of Ralun after our lunch time, we will be on brackish water, already in the fjord of Reloncavi for the rest of the day. In the afternoon, we will stop at a farm where the owners, a friendly local family, will share their sustainable lifestyle. We will camp on their plot.(B,Bl,D)
After breakfast with our host family, we will set out. On our way, we will be able to observe the Yates volcano and snow-covered mountains. From our kayaks, we will visit the village-relay of Cochamo, whose economy depends on the salmon and mussel industries. Depending on the tide level, we might have a chance to go up the river of Cochamo’s valley for a few kilometers .Afteroon drive return to Puerto Varas. Accommodation

Riding the creolle horses in this part of Patagonia feels good! Horses are tame, easy.
Staff is professional, friendly and trully “gente de campo" who have been working the land for generations to
generations. We want to share with you a part of our passion for nature, horses and living outdoors .While riding a horse people get relaxed and happier. And if the Volcan Osorno and Calbuco scenery are part of the landscape even better!
Rides last for 2.30 hours going across green pastures, ancient forest, open ground with views to the mountains in wide trails. After a security briefing horse will be assigned and we will begin the ride along the grasslands of the fundo across open ground. Eventually we reach an ancient green forest where we will be able to learn about the plants and trees, your guide will happily share with you interesting information about the working ranch, production, sustainability as well as the hard work during winter times.
Return back to the farm house to share fresh home made, mermelades, ham and cheese with tea or coffee .

Plan B: Dwith the option to cycle in the afternoon from Frutillar to Puerto Varas a good 25 kms ride along rolling hills on the coast of the Llanquihue lake. Accommodation at Hotel(B,BL)
Bike distance 25 kms .Total distance 70 kms. Half Day Tour (5 hrs. App).This bike ride takes us over antique roads between the towns of Llanquihue and Frutillar. We bike along the waterside enjoy the majestic colonial houses, lonely beaches and amazing views to the Volcanoes Osorno, Calbuco and the Monte Tronador.
We will leave Puerto Varas behind as we bike the back roads towards the town of Frutillar enjoying beautiful views of the lake and the volcanoes. After biking for approximately three kilometers we will arrive at our first stop of the day, the local Chester Beer Brewery local brewery on the way and get that taste of beer go through your body…
This brewery started right here in Chile, and offers some of the best beer in town! After a break we will continue on our trip until we will reach Llanquihue; an old industrial town. From there we will continue along the old road to Frutillar, bordering the lake and offering stunning views of the mountains and surrounding region. After an upward ride passing many agricultural farms we will have a gentle descent into Frutillar. Its well-preserved German architecture and the city’s cultural movement linked to classical music and the Teatro del Lago (Lake Theatre) make it one of the most interesting cities of Llanquihue Lake’s basin. In addition, the second craft brewery (Salzburg) of our journey is located in this city. Here we will enjoy one of the refreshing optional beers and have time for a little rest and relaxation. Today we will drive bordering the Llanquihue Lake which host one of the best scenic roads in the region and only bike ways all around the lake. We will be cycling all the way or just only section that you would prefer.The Vicente Perez Rosales National Park oldest national park, founded in 1926. It covers an area of 251,000 hectares (619, 970 acres), incorporating the park's center piece, Lago Todos los Santos, Saltos de Petrohué, and three commanding volcanoes: Osorno, Tronador and Puntiagudo.
We will continue the road up by vehicle to the Confiteria at about 4600 feet from where we will enjoy our first short walk of the day going around a secondary crater whose red and orange colors stand out from the natural landscape. From here you will get one of the nicest views of the Calbuco Volcano which sits right in front of us at about 25 kms/ 16 miles of distance, time for a coffee at the base camp resto. Optional bike to cycle all the way down hill on tarmac road, this an 8 kms of windy roads with beautifull views of the valleys. Regroup with vehicle and drive to the Petrohue river falls which flow to the estuary of Reloncavi this is unique part of the excursion not to be missed with the last section to the Emerald Lake where we can go for a sailing trip. Drive back to your hotel. Arrive at 19 hs approx.

A ride down this Class III section of river provides thrilling adrenaline-rushing rapids, as well as opportunities to float through quiet sections while taking in the splendor of Vicente Perez Rosales National Park. Expert guides lead you down this stretch for approximately 1.5 hours, which passes through breathtaking scenery and offers views of Volcanoes Osorno, Calbuco, and Puntiagudo.
This excursion can be done either in the morning or in the afternoon,. Usually at 9 AM or at 14.30. NO experience required. Another night in Puerto Varas.

Your guide will pick you up from the hotel at 9 am. Spend a whole day out in the trails visiting ancient and giant Alerce pine trees – protected Chilean Natural Monuments that can grow up to 147 feet (45 meters) tall and 13 feet (4 meters) wide, the Alerce Andino National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. We will depart from the hotel and take the route Carretera Austral southwards, winding around the beautiful forested fjord of Reloncaví, beneath its snow-capped Andean mountains. The Carretera Austral is also known as Rte. 7, and it begins just outside the city limits of Puerto Montt, following the coast of Reloncaví Sound to the southern most hamlet called Villa O’Higgins. We will reach Parque Nacional Alerce Andino. This 39,255-hectare (96,960-acre) park is home to the alerce (fitzroyacupresoides), which is often compared to the sequoia for its thick diameter and height. These venerable giants can live more than 3,000 years, making them the second-oldest tree, after the American bristlecone pine. Other species in the park include evergreen beech, mañío, canelo, ulmo, and thick crops of ferns. It can get pretty wet here year-round, so bring rain gear just in case. After 1 hour drive, we will begin the walk from the park ranger ticket office.
Timing and distance: 19 kilometers, or 11,8 miles. 1.30 hours to the Waterfall of the Rio Chaicas and 1.15 hours more walk to the laguna Triangulo, 2-½ hours back down to the park ranger’s office.
